He’s an Aussie lawyer who works for a major global law firm, mainly working on business deals for a private equity client. Instead of being on the outside of PE, he would ideally like to work on the inside. So he had set his sights on getting an MBA from a top business school to transition into a private equity firm. His target schools include London Business School, INSEAD, Cambridge Judge, and IESE Business School in Spain. He also intends to toss an app in the direction of Harvard Business School.

This lawyer has the basic chops for a stellar application, including a 750 GMAT on his second try (having scored a 720 the first time) and a 3.5 undergraduate GPA from the University of Melbourne. What are his chances?
